Kirk Brillon VFX Supervisor at WeFX

He's contributed to a wide range of high-profile productions, bringing visual depth and atmosphere to projects including Game of ThronesThe BorgiasMidnight Mass, and Jupiter’s Legacy. His work spans genres, from grounded historical drama to epic fantasy and supernatural storytelling,  always in service of story, character, and emotional impact.

Alongside his screen work, he maintains an active fine-art practice rooted in experimentation and discovery. Often beginning with a single drop of ink or a loose wash of colour, his paintings evolve intuitively, exploring darker narratives, mythic figures, humanity, and the vastness of the universe.

Under the pseudonym Tyson Draws Stuff, Kirk has published two art books and developed a body of work that blends technical precision with playful, instinct-driven mark-making. Whether supervising visual effects or letting paint lead the way, Kirk approaches every project with curiosity, openness, and a commitment to discovering what unfolds in the process.

From early experiments with ink and paint to large-scale cinematic worlds, Kirk Brillon’s career has been shaped by a deep love of visual storytelling.

As an Emmy Award–winning visual effects supervisor for film and television, Kirk has spent over two decades working at the intersection of art, narrative, and technology.
