VFX Supervisor
After being introduced to 3D software by an ambitious high school technologies teacher, Cary quickly realized that visual effects and animation would be the place that he would like to dedicate his professional time. With post secondary education in the arts, 3D animation, and subsequently a post graduate in visual effects, Cary solidified that decision and began his career as a digital compositor in the VFX industry.
Once experience was gained at the artist level, Cary quickly began inquiring about the logistics of shooting visual effects on set with an active production team. After a short while on set as a Visual Effects Supervisor, it was clear that problem solving and creative collaboration with filmmakers sat at the pinnacle of the visual effects industry, and that his efforts would be focused accordingly.
Included within his 10 years of experience in visual effects are such projects as The Haunting of Hill House, Star Trek: Discovery, What We Do in the Shadows, and My Spy. With involvement in such an eclectic selection of projects over the last decade, Cary has continued to expand on his abilities both as a creative collaborator and technical problem solver.
