Eppie Tong
Head of IT
Eppie has over 20 years of experience working on systems in the media and entertainment sector.
After completing BA and B.Arch degrees at the University of Hong Kong, she moved to Toronto to pursue a career in architecture.
Studying at the SGI and Mac Labs of School of Architecture at the University of Toronto in the early 1990s, Eppie got exposed to the Internet, and to Alias Animator and Designer software. She also took the Apple hardware training course to give herself a grounding in computers. As a result, she changed her career path from architecture to computer systems.
Eppie went on to work for VFX studios in Toronto, becoming Systems Director for C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures, which she helped to set up from scratch, and IT Manager for Spin VFX and Head of IT for Toonbox Entertainment, both of whose systems she revamped when the studios moved to new locations.
Eppie holds several certifications from Cisco in the field of networking, with CCNA, CCNP, and Cisco Firewall Specialist accreditations to her name.
